Here you'll find a well organized effort to organize the genealogy materials on the Internet. This project is supported by hundreds of volunteers all across the county. Basically, the system is organized by states, and counties with each county having a coordinator responsible for maintaining a site of resources which are available for that county. You'll also find files of genealogy records, also organized by state and county.

Dickson County TN GenWeb Page :Dickson County was formed in 1803-1804 from parent couties Montgomery and Roberson. County seat is Charlotte. Esther Pratt, one of our Walker researcher resources, has found much of her data relative to Elijah Walker's (Helton Rutherford's father, family from records in Dickson County.

Hickman County TN GenWeb Page : Hickman County was formed in 1807-1808 from parent Dickson country. The county sear for Hickman county was Vernon from 1810 to 1822 and has since been Centerville. Helton Rutherford, although known to have been born in Humphrey county, enlisted into the Confederate army in Centerville. As of this writing, there is not yet a GenWeb page for Humphrey County Tn.

Howell County GenWeb Page :Howell County is of course the county in which Walke Chapel, the church built by Helton Rutherford Walker, still stands.
:Texas County GenWeb Page The Walker Chapel in Trask MO, close to Mountain View, is on the northern border of Howell County which borders Texas County. Many Walker cousins, including Helton Rutherford's son Helton Alanson, lived in Texas county. Many are buried in Bethel cemetery.

XXI's Genealogy Link List This is more than a list of genealogy links. It has specific links to Tennessee and to Dickson County, as well as some rather unique and helpful links to other sites.

Gene Stark's Home Page is the page for you if you are HTML technically minded. This is the source for the file used in the Walker Cousins Home Page to convert gedcom files directly to web data files.

Gendex WWW Genealogical Index This is another great resource from Gene Stark. It indexes hundreds of World Wide Web databases containing genealogical data for over two million individuals, and gives you the ability to locate and view data of interest to you on any of these databases, without having to go and visit each of the databases separately.
